14th – 21st January 2019
Do you fancy escaping from the cold weather and grey skies of January 2019 by waking up to sunshine, beaches and yoga? At the same time kick off your healthy living regime at the beginning of the year and join me on this amazing 7 night yoga holiday to Costa Rica!
Not only did Costa Rica invent eco-tourism, it’s also one of the happiest places on earth!
If Mother Nature can ever be accused of showing off, it’s in Costa Rica – one of the most bio-diverse spots on the planet. Added to which, as the only country in the region with no standing army, it’s a beacon of peace and democracy.
Costa Rica offers great weather, steaming rainforests, smouldering volcanoes, tumbling rivers, palm fringed sandy beaches and world famous coffee!
A world pioneer in eco-tourism, Costa Rica has set aside more than 25% of its territory as a protected natural area, more than any other country on earth. It’s natural parks are its greatest glory with a stunning variety of landscapes, flora and fauna.
If it’s an adrenaline kick you’re looking for you’ll find that here too, with white water rafting, volcano hiking, tree-top zip-wiring and more.
And after all that activity you can lie back, relax and soak up the sun on the Pacific coast beaches. Enjoy the good life, or as the locals say…PURA VIDA!
The best time to visit Costa Rica is from mid-December through to April (the dry season). This peak tourist season boasts plenty of sunshine making it an ideal time for exploring rainforests and lounging on beaches.

El Sabanero Eco Lodge is located near the popular beach town Tamarindo, in the tropical paradise of Guanacaste (northwest Costa Rica). El Sabanero is only a short drive away from 4 of the most popular and beautiful beaches in the area, Playa Avellanas, Playa Negra, Playa Junquillal, and Tamarindo. The closest international airport to the resort is Liberia.
The resort offers 15 chalets built from local teak trees, overlooking the picturesque Cañafistula valley. Each chalet includes queen size beds, private bathroom, air conditioning, fridge, safe, and a private veranda.
Common areas feature a beautiful open air lodge, indoor and outdoor yoga space, Infinity pool, and other hangout spaces, all equipped with hammocks and lounge chairs.

Our morning practice: We will begin our mornings by quietly centring ourselves and then moving in to a themed, alignment based Vinyasa Flow practice to awaken, invigorate and energise the body. Each session will close with meditation and Savasana. You will have the rest of the day at leisure to either relax or explore, after all this is your holiday!
Our evening practice sessions will be more of a gentle practice, mainly alignment based and fun partner work also including aspects of Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra.
Classes are suitable for students of all levels.
For our non-practicing yoga guests, there will be plenty to do, you certainly won’t have time to get bored! Spend your days on the beach soaking up the sun, indulging in to a good book, or for those more active perhaps try a spot of surfing, zip-wiring through the lush tropical jungle or take a hike up a volcano!
